Canada is known for many things but besides the natural beauty of our rugged land and our hot new Prime Minister, the Great White North is world renowned for our shiver-inducing winters. While many people shudder at the thoughts of plummeting temperatures, Canadians embrace the cold with cautiously-optimistic open arms. We were built for this and because we know what it takes to survive, so is our outerwear.
Noize Original was founded in 1978 and offers practical yet stylish outwear for men and women. Designed in Canada, each garment is skillfully constructed using only high quality fabrics and faux fur/faux leather accents. Shielding us from harshest elements of the winter season, the jackets are designed to be breathable and water resistant. The 2015 collection features several styles for both men and women, including everything from waist hugging bomber-style jackets to full knee-length cozy coats. We know our winters so we know what it takes to make it through those long cold nights while still looking good.
DJNL took two Noize Original jackets to Quebec’s Mont-Tremblant region to test them out in the natural elements. While 2015’s Winter is shaping up to be warmer than usual, it’s still pretty chilly at night in the mountains and the jackets were light and kept us warm and we strolled through the village and later deep into the woods. The jackets are designed to keep you feeling warm as you stream down the slopes and looking cool while you après-ski at the lodge.
The jackets featured in this spread are the AADEN on Blair and the DANSHORE on David. For more on Noize Original and where you can buy your very own jacket, visit their website here.
